Plantations Areas

 

Okra was introduced in El Salvador in 1974 as a commercial crop. It is preferably grown in hot climates at elevations below 2,000 feet above sea level.  Our plantations are located in the Southwestern and Southcentral regions of the country that comply with the aforementioned conditions. 

Blackeye Peas and Zipper Peas have been grown in El Salvador since 1980, but it was not until 1985, that these began to be grown industrially.  They are preferably grown in hot humid climates at elevations below 1,500 feet above sea level.  Our plantations are located in the Southwestern and Southcentral regions of the country that comply with the aforementioned conditions.

Coconut has been grown in El Salvador for a long time.  It has been grown as a commercial crop since the 1960’s, but most of its production is now consumed locally.  It is preferably grown in hot humid climates at sea level elevations.  Our plantations are located in the Southeastern coastal regions of the country.
